Our Approach IME attains this objective by creating a right blend of theory and practical in the curriculum. Live projects and internships assume as much importance as theory classes here. Regular assessment and feed back is an integral part of the student-guide relationship and is taken seriously by both. Our students are hand picked to ensure quality. The equipment, technology, infrastructure and technical assistance employed are world class and are constantly being updated.
Infrastructure The infrastructure at IME has matched high-class standards. It has spacious classrooms in addition to a state of art studio, PCR, photo studio, projection room and computer labs. The library and reading room lend an air of academic brilliance to the overall ambience.
Classrooms Spacious classrooms with appropriate furniture, LCD projectors and an effective speaker system in addition to white boards serve as great teaching aids. All classrooms are well ventilated and well lit.
Computer Lab
The Auditorium A fully equipped, state of the art auditorium with a seating capacity of 200 is part of the infrastructure at IME. It provides the ideal setting for management events and corporate interaction programs. There is an ultra-modern Seminar Hall with a seating capacity of 300.The Hall is well equipped with state-of-the-art audio-visual and presentation tools to facilitate smooth presentations etc.
Audio-Visual Studio and PCR IME is planning to have outstanding audio and video studio comprising multi-camera set up, non-linear editing systems (FCP Mac-G5) besides having high-end sound facilities for recording and post-production processes. It has all the facilities to train the students in all the aspects of TV Production, TV Journalism, Film Making, Documentary and Radio Production. The IME Production Studio is designed for all kinds of production work ranging from news anchoring, multiple camera shoot, panel discussions, interactive shows involving audience to feature film shoots. The Studio is equipped with digital video cameras capable of swift operations like newsgathering as well as creative ventures like Feature and Ad filmmaking. With the latest standard of TV Production market, the Apple Macintosh G5 based Final Cut Pro digital editing suites, with which video editing, graphics and special effects become a child's play. For those who want to make mark as news anchors, the studio has a Teleprompter, which is always accessible to students.

Projection Room A very large projection room with an effective darkening mechanism and a seating capacity of more than 75 people showcases classics made by renowned filmmakers as a part of the Film Appreciation module. The films made by IME students are also screened here and then the field is thrown open for healthy criticism. It also serves as the venue for presentations by students as well as distinguished visitors.
Library cum Reading Room A library with large number of books not only from Media related subjects but also from a vast array of other subjects offers students a wide scope for updating their knowledge. A computerized catalogue helps to track the status of any book at any point of time. Variety of journals, magazines and newspapers add to the treasure of knowledge housed in the library. The IME library also preserves insightful projects done by its students.
Faculty IME has chosen its faculty from among those who have expertise in core as well as functional are of journalism and mass communication and experience of teaching in reputed institute and universities.
